Tara Meissner Huck’s writing career began as a journalist where she worked for a community newspaper for more than a decade. She has published a collection of poetry and a memoir. Currently, she is at work on a collection of short stories, a second collection of poetry, and a spiritual memoir.
Tara enjoys coaching beginning and mature writers alike across all genres, particularly enjoying working with journal, memoir, and personal essay writers. She leads roundtables and workshops for adult learners. She also speaks for small groups and large assemblies on topics including Writing, Memoir, and Mental Health.
Tara lives in Wisconsin where she enjoys the beauty of lakes – great and small – and the quiet of the Northwoods. You may spot her at a library, museum, or park writing poetry on legal pads or prose in composition notebooks. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Business Administration degree. Tara is the author of “Stress Fracture: A Memoir of Psychosis” and a collection of poetry, “Just a Stop Along the Way.”
